Arts Booster Fundraiser
G/ D Arts Boosters 2nd annual "Dance Dance Dance!"

A DJ will be playing the best of 70s and 80s music. There will also be complimentary refreshments, silent auctions, and raffles. Tickets will be $10 and they are sold at the door.
Drama Guild presents William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet

Groton-Dunstable Regional High
School’s Drama Guild proudly presents their rendition of William Shakespeare’s
timeless tragedy Romeo & Juliet.
In this Civil-War era rendition,
tension is raised between two families, the Capulets of the North, and the
Montagues of the South, over the relationship between Romeo and Juliet. Romeo,
of the Montagues, becomes infatuated with Juliet of the Capulets. The results?
Feud, bloodshed, and love that can never be broken.
It takes teamwork to put on a
show. In addition to the
27 actors and large crew and tech team, many people have helped make R&J
possible. Romeo & Juliet is directed by Latin teacher and
drama advisor Michael Hoffman with assistant director, Emily Olson. A great
deal of assistance has been offered by others. English teacher, Brian
Tuomi participated in the audition process.
Former theater teacher, Allison Martell is our guest fight
choreographer. Science teacher, Heather Salemme, is teaching the students Reel
dancing. Parent, Suzanne Hampton, is performing her magic with costumes.
A student band is working on period appropriate music. A student team is
leading set design and decoration, including the creation of a silo. Alumni,
Andrew Patenaude, as always offers construction and safety advice for the
troupe. Drama adviser and History teacher, Christine Olson, is working on production items such as photography, playbill, and finances, along with
painting set. Williams Barn generously offered us the opportunity to take
photos on site. A special thank you to
everyone who has helped with the show!
Performances will be held on Friday, April 10 at 7 p.m., and Saturday,
April 11 at 2 p.m. & 7 p.m. at the Groton-Dunstable Regional High
School’s Black Box Theatre, 703 Chicopee Row, Groton, MA.
Tickets cost are $10 general
admission and $8 for students and senior citizens.
