In addition, I have included the fall playoff schedule for your convenience.   Lastly, I included some information regarding Facebook privacy issues that parents might want to be made aware of.

October 24th: Annual Safety and Security Practice

Lockdown Drill
Today, October 24th, we will be conducting our annual review of emergency protocols and procedures with students, staff, and local law enforcement officials.  The Groton Police Department along with faculty and administration will be implementing and conducting a new set of response options for dealing with an emergency situation. To date, we have conducted two fire drills and provided staff with training on our emergency lockdown procedures and protocols. In addition, Officer Rachel Meade provided a brief overview of the A.L.I.C.E emergency response system with students.
Today students will run through a training exercise that is similar to the simulation staff experienced a few weeks ago.  Although these are routine exercises, we encourage you to talk with your child about the exercises today.  We take pride in running a school that is safe, organized, and focused on teaching and learning.  Safety resides at the top of that list.   It is important to remind your son/daughter that schools remain an extremely safe place to be.
