Report Cards, 2017 Travel Info. Night, Playoffs & More

1st Quarter Report Cards
Grades will be available for viewing in the community portal at 5pm this evening (11/13/2015)

Global Scholars 2017 Travel Opportunities Presentation (Date Change)     
We will hold an informational night highlighting the 2017 travel opportunities on Thursday, December 3rd at 6pm in the BBX Theater.   The trips are part of the Global Scholars Program we started two years ago.  At the conclusion of the presentation students will have the opportunity to register for the 2017 trips. Space is limited and students will be accommodated on a first come, first served basis.   For your convenience, I have included a link to the detailed itinerary.

Block Schedule Survey (Parents)
One of our school goals for the upcoming school year is a comprehensive look at our current schedule. Below I have included the goal for your review. We are seeking parental input on our current scheduling system. We would appreciate your anonymous feedback. Thank you.

Goal: By the Spring of 2016, the scheduling committee will report on the effectiveness of the block schedule and examine alternatives as evidenced by the completion of a comparative analysis document and a proposal based on the data collected from research and surveys.


Soccer Playoffs
Gabe Dingle propelled Groton-Dunstable into the District Final Sunday afternoon with a goal in the second overtime period against Algonquin to capture a 3-2 victory.

The Crusaders now prepare to face Worcester South on Nashoba Regional's turf field Sunday, November 15th for the Central Massachusetts Division 1 Championship.  Game starts at 1pm; ticket prices are $7/Adults, $5/Students and Seniors.






Cross Country District Championship
The league champion cross country team is competing this weekend. Led by Emily Willson, Megan Odell, Emily McAuliffe, Julianna Higgins and Emma Demers, the Lady Crusader Cross Country team look to capture the MIAA Central Massachusetts title Saturday afternoon at Gardner Municipal Golf Course.  Race starts at 2pm.

The Boys XC will look to Ben Hauk's leadership to make an impact in the CMass Championship Saturday afternoon at 1pm in Gardner.







Football
 The Football team will play their last home game of the 2015season tonight when Southbridge comes to town for a 7pm kick. Seniors Billy Mitchell, Shane Dawson, T.J.Fetterolf, Danny Howes, Jack Battles, Pat Allison, Aiden Hoey, John Thornburn, Eric Tupa, and Friis Port will then look to wrap-up their careers at Tyngsboro High School on Thanksgiving Day.

Middle School Musical
Let’s show our support to the young actors at Groton Dunstable Middle School.  Bring your friends or family to see 60 students perform “Shrek, the Musical, Jr.”  The shows will be held on Friday, November 13 at 7 pm and Saturday, November 14, at 2 pm and 7 pm at the Performing Arts Center in Middle School South.  Tickets, which can be purchased at the door, are $10 for adults and $7 for students and senior citizens.  The show is a production of Groton Dunstable Community Education.
