Groton-Dunstable Regional High School has enjoyed a tremendous amount of success this season with baseball, golf, track & field, boys tennis, boys lacrosse, and girls lacrosse all qualifying for the playoffs. It is quite impressive to see so much success in a wide variety of sports. Equally impressive is the team effort with students from all grades contributing. Congratulations to all teams and coaches. Rooting for continued success with a busy playoff schedule this week.
Girls Golf
Freshman Isabelle Premkumar will be participating in the M.I.A.A. Sectional Girl's Golf Tournament tomorrow (Thursday) at Holden Hill Golf Course.
Boys Lacrosse
GD boy's lacrosse, now 11-8, began districts Monday with an overwhelming 14-0 decision over visiting Bellingham (5-16). Senior classmates Zach Cotoni and Paul Leonardo and junior Owen Torgersen scored three goals each, leading fifth seed Groton-Dunstable past the No. 12 seeded Blackhawks in first round of Central/East Division 3 playoff action. GD Tomorrow (Thursday) they travel to Watertown for a second round game. The game begins at 5:00 at Victory Field.
Girls Lacrosse
Sophia
Irby scored 4 goals and Nicki Wilkinson had 2 goals and 3 assists as the
fifth-seeded Groton-Dunstable girls lacrosse team moved on to a Division 1
Central/West quarterfinal with a 14-1 win over Hudson. Stay tuned for details on the next match.
Track and Field
The Groton-Dunstable boys and girls track and field teams competed on Saturday, May 30th at Fitchburg State College. The Central/Western MA State Divisional Meet was quite successful. Two girls, Emily Willson and Sarah Morenz, and three boys, Lucas Acaba, Evan Lexo, and Nate Dante, placed in the top four, which means they all qualify for the All-State Meet. The top four compete at the All-State Meet and top eight earned a medal.

Baseball
The (13-6) Crusader baseball team will have to wait until Monday, June 8 for their first tournament game when they visit No. 4 Auburn (13-6) in a first round match-up.
Tennis
In boys' tennis, No.9 Seed G-D (10-7) will travel to No.8 North Middlesex (9-6) Thursday, June 4 at 3:00 in first round action. The winner will face No.1 seed Littleton (12-0) Saturday, June 6.
