Chapter 71, Section 59C of Massachusetts General Law requires all schools to have a school council. The committee shall be comprised of parents, students, and school personnel. The committee is charged with assisting in the identification of the educational needs of the school. In addition, the committee shall assist in the review of the annual school budget and in the formulation of a school improvement plan.
