Ever wonder
how noise-canceling headphones work or how technology is changing
baseball? Acton PIP STEM, a partner of
GDSTEM, has generously invited Groton-Dunstable students and their families to
DISCOVER STEM 2013, taking place at
Acton-Boxboro High School, Monday,
November 4, from 6-8:30 p.m. DISCOVER
STEM is a showcase of interactive Science, Technology, Engineering and Math
activities geared for students in Grades 7-12 and their families, and features
some 30+ exhibits from companies and organizations in the area. Volunteers are also needed, and students can
earn service credit.

Parents who
are interested in helping to promote STEM education in our public schools are
invited to attend GDSTEM’s next monthly meeting on Monday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m.
at the Middle School North Library. More
