Ever wonder how noise-canceling headphones work or how technology is changing baseball?  Acton PIP STEM, a partner of GDSTEM, has generously invited Groton-Dunstable students and their families to DISCOVER STEM 2013, taking place at Acton-Boxboro High School, Monday, November 4, from 6-8:30 p.m.  DISCOVER STEM is a showcase of interactive Science, Technology, Engineering and Math activities geared for students in Grades 7-12 and their families, and features some 30+ exhibits from companies and organizations in the area.  Volunteers are also needed, and students can earn service credit.

For more information or to volunteer, please visit www.actonpip.org/discoverstem.

Parents who are interested in helping to promote STEM education in our public schools are invited to attend GDSTEM’s next monthly meeting on Monday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m. at the Middle School North Library.  More information on GDSTEM’s activities is available at www.gdstem.org.
